Daniela Charter is a Colombian artist and art educator based in New York’s Hudson Valley. She holds a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Committed to the transformative power of art in holistic development, Daniela continues to refine her artistic practice through ongoing exploration of technique, materiality, and personal expression. Her recent work has been exhibited at the Divine Gallery, the Women's Art Gallery, and the MSEd Graduate Exhibition.

Central to Daniela’s work is the use of blankets as symbolic representations of the protective barriers individuals create to shield themselves from trauma, painful memories, and the challenges of everyday life. Through this imagery, she explores the ways people seek comfort and security in response to adversity, stress, and anxiety. Her practice investigates the dynamic tension between concealment and exposure, vulnerability and protection.

Grounded in themes of identity, memory, and self-discovery, Daniela’s work merges representational, surreal, and abstract elements to examine the relationship between form, color, and emotion. She invites viewers to look beyond the surface of her compositions and engage with the emotional and psychological layers that lie beneath, encouraging reflection on the complexities of the human experience.
